Price: $200 Boosts moving coil cartidge output to moving magnet levels so you can use esoteric moving coil carts with your favorite standard phono stage.

The MB-150 Moving Coil Booster Amplifier is a pre-RIAA booster for low output moving coil cartridges. The MB-150 provides the necessary gain with a minimum of coloration. Nakamichi’s unique input configuration approaches the theoretical limits of noise-free performance.

The MB-150 requires +/- 10V which can be supplied by the PS-100 Power Supply (or by several compatible Nakamichi Preamplfiers. The gain is switchable between 22dB and 38dB. The frequency response is 10-100000Hz +0, -0.5 at 22dB gain or 20-100000 +0 -1 at 38dB gain. The input impedance is 56 Ohms.

The MB-150 is in very good condition and comes with the original box and manual. If you’d like to use this and require a regulated power supply we can make you one for a small extra charge.
